Yvetta Green- Banks Obituary

“GOD HAS SMILED ON ME HE HAS SET ME FREE. GOD HAS SMILED ON ME; HE’S WAS SO GOOD TO ME”

Yvetta Denise Green Banks was born August 25, 1964 in West Virginia to proud parents Virginia and Ernest Green. She was the middle of seven children, Lisa, Rose, Stacy, (Deceased Ernest, James, Veronica) As a child, she attended and was baptized at an early age at the Union Baptist Church under the leadership of the late Pastor James Taylor who was also her grandfather. In the early eighties her family relocated to the Washington DC area where she was a product of DC Public Schools. She graduated from Cardoza High School and was also blessed with a son, Kenneth on April 26, 1981. During her struggle as a single parent she was employed at NIH Medical Center in Bethesda, MD in the Hospitality Department, and Leland Medical Center in Riverdale, Maryland. It was during that time that Yvetta met the love of her life, Terrance Banks. She often said that God knew just what she needed to help her raise her son. They were married and became a family on September 5,1997. Not only that, she rededicated her life toGod and became a member of the Israel Baptist Church Family under the leadership of Pastor Lance T. Aubert. There she remained faithful until her health begin to fail.

GOD SAW SHE WAS GETTING TIRED. WHEN HEALING SEEMED NOT TO BE SO HE WRAPPED HIS ARMS AROUND HER AND WHISPERED, “COME TO ME!”

Yvetta departed Planet Earth on Thursday, January 22 at 3:54PM in Doctor’s Hospital in Laham, MD. Though she will be greatly missed, the memories of her love, smile kind and encouraging words will be forever cherished by all that knew her. She leaves to mourn her beloved husband, Terry, her two sisters Lisa and Rose, her brother Stacy, her loyal and faithful Aunt Sandy and son Jazz her treasured in laws, Mike, Liz, and Mommy as well as immeasurable number of nieces, nephews, and friends.
