William Henry Braxton IV, lovingly known as “Bill” to his family and “Will” to his friends, peacefully transitioned on February 1, 2026, after a courageous 35-day hospitalization. He was surrounded by love.

Born on February 27, 1994, to William H. Braxton III and Angela Marie Braxton, William was the youngest of three children and was raised in Capitol Hill, Washington, D.C. He attended D.C. Public Schools and formed lifelong friendships through the Beacon House after-school program.

William shared deep bonds with his siblings, especially his “best brother” Lester, and spent meaningful time with his older brother Larry in his final year. He was his sister Ja’Ney’s pride and joy, and to his mother, he was her beloved “Mymoon.” He also shared a special and enduring connection with his father.

A graduate of Wilson High School, William attended West Virginia University before pursuing his passion for fashion and retail. He worked diligently at Nordstrom and Saks Fifth Avenue, holding two full-time positions. He loved fashion, luxury cars, traveling, photography, and was a devoted Philadelphia Eagles fan.

William had a gentle spirit, natural confidence, and a smile that lit up every room. Most importantly, he maintained a personal relationship with Christ, and we find comfort in knowing he now rests peacefully in the Lord’s arms.
