Sandra “Sandy” Louise Maxwell Capone (January 29,1957-January 9, 2026)

Sandy Capone passed away on January 9, 2026, due to complications from a respiratory virus. She was

preceded in death by her parents, Dorothy and Jay Maxwell, and brother, Tony Scaglio. She is survived by

her husband of 48 years, Richard Capone, her children, Shannon Delagarza and Rick Capone (Pam), her

beloved granddaughter, Angelina Capone, and her sister Terry Maxwell.

Sandy was born on January 29, 1957, in Washington, DC. She graduated from Largo High School and

married her husband Richard on (date). Sandy was a devoted wife and mother and fiercely loved her

“people”. She worked tirelessly and selflessly to support the many loved ones in her life, while also

working as the longtime Office Manager at Ring and Ring CPA in Edgewater, MD. Sandy loved impromptu

ladies’ nights and picnics with her good friends. She loved vacationing “downy ocean” like all good

Marylanders and found joy in fantasy series like Lord of the Rings and Harry Potter. Sandy loved and was

loved by many. While her passing was sudden and unexpected, her “people” take comfort in knowing that

her buddy Mark was waiting for her at the Gate, sure to collect that long owed $1.14.
