Madelene McCullough Obituary

"In Loving Memory of Madelene McCullough

June 30, 1941 – December 25, 2025

Madelene McCullough, a beloved mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on December 25, 2025, in Baltimore, Maryland. She was born on June 30, 1941, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and was the devoted widow of Barnett McCullough Sr.

Madelene was a woman of quiet strength, grace, and deep reflection. Her life was marked by kindness, wisdom, and a steady presence that brought comfort to those around her. She valued learning, thoughtful conversation, and moments of calm, and she shared her care for others through gentle guidance and unwavering love for her family.

She is survived by her three children: her son, Barnett McCullough Jr.; and her daughters, Karen Elaine Sharif and Ronda Marlene McCullough. She also leaves behind three cherished grandchildren—Gabrielle Richardson, Nadia Sharif, and Langston Thurgood McCullough—who were a constant source of joy and pride.

In keeping with her wishes, Madelene will be lovingly reunited with her twin sister, Marlene Smith. Together, they will return to Pennsylvania, where Madelene will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Washington Crossing National Cemetery.

A private graveside service will be held at a later date by invitation. The family appreciates your understanding and is grateful for the many expressions of sympathy and kindness received during this time.

Madelene will be remembered for her gentle spirit, her devotion to family, and the quiet dignity with which she lived her life. Her memory remains a lasting blessing to all who knew her.

Scripture of Comfort:“Well done, good and faithful servant… Enter into the joy of your Lord.”— Matthew 25:21 (NKJV)

Her memory will be treasured always."
