Joan Marie Clarke

Joan Marie Porter Clarke entered into eternal rest on October 7, 2025. Joan 73, was the daughter of the late  Jefferson Porter and Julia Barnes Porter, and was succeeded into heaven brother, Jefferson Porter II. 

Joan born in Nansemond County graduated in 1970 from Hayden High School, Franklin ,Va. She attended Norfolk State University. Afterwards she received her nursing degree and worked for serval medical facilities including Walter Reed Military Hospital located in Washington DC. 

Joan leaves to cherish her loving memories, daughter, June Kelly Gray, son Jarrod Clarke, both in Maryland, brother Ray Porter( Lorrie)Richmond Va, brother Todd Porter (Monica) Winston Salem NC, grandchildren Pria Clarke and Julia Clarke, nephew, Todd Porter II, niece, Kisha Porter, cousins Sharon Porter and Sandra Porter and a host of life long friends.
