Dr. Rohan Williams peacefully transitioned on May 4, 2025, at home, nestled in love with his immediate family in Hyattsville, Maryland.

Born on January 15, 1969, in St. Ann, Jamaica, W.I., to Alphanso Williams and Veronica Townsend, Rohan lived a life of service as a medical doctor and politician, actively serving his community until migrating to the United States a year ago.

Education was always of tremendous importance to him. Coming from humble beginnings, he watched his parents work tirelessly to provide him and his siblings with the greatest tool for self-reliance and success—a solid education. He believed the only way to make positive changes in a country was through service to the people, and he dedicated much of his time and effort to politics in Jamaica as a councilor for the People’s National Party (PNP), all while practicing medicine—his first love—for 28 years.

Family meant the world to him, and he spent his entire life ensuring his small family was well cared for, protected, and deeply loved. For relaxation, football was his gentle escape, with Liverpool being his favorite team. He found pleasure in spirited debates on political issues and any topic of current affairs he deemed important. His love and steadfast devotion to God led him to a deeper relationship with Him, which became the anchor of his life.

Rohan is survived by his father, Alphanso Williams; his wife, Jaunice; daughters, Britanya and Paige; sisters, Patricia and Carol; brothers, Alvin, Nevil, Raymond, Glendon, Clehan, and Andrew; and a host of family and friends.
